Patient Details
Age of Diagnosis: 11
Patient Gender: Male
Patient Race: Caucasian
Treatment Details
Symptoms Conventional Medicine: Near-daily vomiting, painful nerve damage, required hospital stays, from combination of chemotherapy and radiation. Chemotherapy alone appeared to cause falling white blood cell counts
Intervention Conventional: Chemotherapy (December 2012 to March 2013); Radiation (28 sessions from February 2013 to March 2013), intravenous nutrition
Intervention Pharmaceuticals: Marinol, opiates (including methadone)
Intervention Integrative: Cannabis, acupuncture
Intervention Supplements: Mistletoe, medicinal mushrooms, IP6, other unspecified supplements
Intervention Diet: "Excellent nutrition"
Intervention Details: THC FECO, THC/CBD FECO, CBD FECO (both started in July 2013, CBD FECO used later)
Intervention Profile: 1:3 THC:CBD blend
Intervention Subtype: Skunk (THC), Yummi (THC/CBD), ACDC/Hope/Abacus (CBD)
Intervention Application: Ingested
Intervention Dosage: Worked up to 900mg THC and 500mg CBD/day through treatment. After remission, dropped to 85mg THC and 100mg CBD/day for maintenance
Intervention Results: Chico immediately underwent chemotherapy and radiation, but these were largely ineffective and caused serious side effects, so Chico's parents sought out an alternative, finding THC, THC/CBD, and CBD FECO. Before this, Chico had used Marinol, which was somewhat effective at first but then lost efficacy. Within 2 months of starting the FECO products, Chico's vomiting reduced by half and the nerve damage stopped progressing. He was also able to get off intravenous nutrition and switch to a G-tube. The FECO also enabled Chico to get off opiates, and helped his white blood cell counts recover faster than expected after chemotherapy sessions, so he did not need to delay them. With all treatments combined, Chico was in remission by November 2013 and reduced his cannabis dose to a maintenance level at that point. As of January 2024 he is still well and appears to have never had a recurrence. Also, from direct knowledge, despite being out of school for around a year, he caught up in a matter of months. This shows that using very high doses of THC did not impact his cognition. (1) and (2) during treatment, (3) after, (4) is FECO syringes
